As a trained mentor you will come alongside a young woman who is pregnant. Through one on one classes, using a nationally acclaimed Earn While You Learn curriculum, mentors provide education regarding valuable prenatal, adoption, parenting and life skills information. Mentors meet one hour each week with an assigned client who is typically a first-time expectant mom.

Our Board of Directors defines the mission and ensure that the Center is functioning in a way that is both honoring to God and beneficial to the community. The board participates periodically in strategic planning to review purposes, programs, priorities, funding needs, and targets of achievement for the Total Life Care of Hastings center. The board meets monthly to cover the center in prayer, help with fundraising, policies, and pursue the vision for growth. All board members have a term of 3 years, and are required to take a minimum of 1 year off after acting on the board. Host a baby shower at your home, church or civic group to help us bring more awareness to the community about our ministry. TLC of Hastings will provide a speaker and/or DVD and you invite friends, neighbors and family to bring a baby gift for our Center and learn more about how to be involved and or support our mission.
Our center needs someone from time to time to help out with minor maintenance and repairs. From changing light bulbs and washing windows, to repairing office furnishings and equipment; we need someone who can take care of us. If this is where you are gifted, we need you!

"TLC was introduced to me by someone I bought something from on marketplace. She casually mentioned the baby cafe to me and said what a great mom community it was. I was in the middle of my first two weeks of motherhood, and yearned for others who felt the same way as I did. My breastfeeding journey was just beginning along with my postpartum anxiety. All the nurses at TLC took away the fear I had with breastfeeding. They showed me tips and tricks to help get my baby to eat bigger meals at a time. TLC has many wonderful classes for new and expecting moms. There were some things that i never knew that i now can implement with my little one thanks to TLC! Their Baby Cafe is amazing and SUCH a great support group for new moms who are nursing. I had some issues in the beginning with my daughter and getting her to latch right. The people there have always been SO support of anything i have needed and are honestly so invested in you and your babies lives. They truly care about you. Such a safe place and its so welcoming. I will forever recommend Hastings TLC to anyone who finds their pregnant or are expecting! So much good in such a great place! Thank you, TLC!
TLC has helped me threw both of my pregnancys. I'm excited that they now offer baby cafe and so many other new things. they are some of the most supportive people I have ever met. and I wouldn't be the parent I am today without them !
